Blood, hills, and poop...what more do you need?

Last weekend, my good friend, Amy and I went for a bike ride. I was really nervous as it was the first one of the year for me. We had quite the adventure as you can see...

Gallbladder 101

I know you are all just waiting for this update aren't you? Come on, you know you are and you just want to see pictures of the stones. But yet, you're kind of grossed out by the idea of them aren't you? Well, first the bad news. I had a hard time getting a focused picture of the stones as they sealed in some bottle they gave me. But, I did get a few shots. I'll see if I can borrow the BF's camera when he gets home and take a better picture. The second bad thing...my skittles are colorless....they're black! How sad. Is that a reflection of me? I hope not. In case you can't tell from the picture, mine look exactly like gravel...well since we're going with the candy theme, they actually look a lot like black nerds. I have two bigguns' that do look a lot like skittles but they're bigger. I am guessing those two are the culprits who caused the most pain. We're estimating over 50 tiny stones and by the looks of it, three to four bigger ones. I'm glad they're out but what do I do with them now? They kind of remind me of when people had pet rocks when you were a kid. Except these are gross and I really don't want to take them for a walk like my old neighbor did with his pet rock. Somehow, I don't think people would appreciate that anymore.
The surgery went well. I had some problems with the anesthesia. As in, I couldn't stop throwing up. So, that was not fun right after having incisions in your stomach. I was able to get some reading done after the surgery. No, I didn't read every page of those, but I read quite a bit.
I feel MUCH, MUCH better. And, today is the first day I have no restrictions and I am released back to running. Wooo-hoo. I am excited about that but also very scared. Not sure why. Mostly because this is the longest I have gone without running for a long time so I'm worried I'm going to suck it up.
I'm also debating about doing the Fargo Half still. Is that crazy? It's only 30 some days away and I'd like to try it. But, what do you think? Is that crazy?

Update

Just a quick note to let all of you know I had my surgery and am in my last week of restrictions! Wooo-hoo! I'll update more later - including nice pictures of my skittles, I mean my stones. Thanks to all of you for dropping me notes wondering how I was doing! I have been reading your blogs and keeping up on all of you!
